FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is your style of painting called?
Abstract is probably the best way to describe my artwork. It is art that does not attempt to represent reality, but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures.
  • How do I contact the artist?
Please contact Demetria via email at demeartstudio@gmail.com, by phone at (614) 398-0152, or by using the contact form on this website. Demetria will get back to you within 1-2 business days.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all forms of credit, debit cards and Apple Pay.
  • Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax rates are charged to all paintings purchased through the website and shipped within Ohio (5.75% + applicable local taxes). Items purchased in other cities or states at an art festival event will be charged the local sales tax for that area. If you purchase a painting that will be shipped to another state or out of the country, there will be no sales tax charged.
  • What is your return policy?
Please choose your artwork carefully as we do not accept returns. All items are final sale. If you notice damage upon unpacking your painting from Deme Art Studio, contact us within 48 hours of receiving the artwork with digital images of the damage. If we find that the painting was damaged in transit, we will attempt to replace the painting. If we are unable to replace the painting, we will arrange a refund upon receiving the returned damaged artwork.
  • Where can I buy your artwork?
You can browse the website www.demeartstudio.com and visit the Catalog to purchase artwork. You can also check out our calendar to see what local event we will be at.
  • How are paintings shipped?
We use USPS and UPS as our carriers. Please note that all delivery times are from time of dispatch, not from time of order. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your artwork is shipped.
  • Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere in the United States and internationally using UPS and USPS. For legal reasons we must declare the full value of the edition for all international deliveries. Please note that you will be responsible for any customs or import taxes on international shipments, which are due upon arrival at the destination country. If you are located in a country not listed and would like to purchase artwork, please contact us and we can send you an invoice for the cost of the selected artwork plus shipping.
  • Do you take commissions for a painting?
Please contact Demetria to inquire about a custom painting. She can do any size you request and is happy to discuss all the particulars with you.
  • How should I hang my painting?
If we are shipping it to you, your painting will arrive with a package including a wire and/or sawtooth picture hanger so that you can hang your painting in the direction you prefer.
  • Are the paintings signed?
Each painting is signed on the back along with the title and date. In doing this the signature doesn’t dictate in which orientation the painting will hang. Many are versatile and can hang vertically or horizontally.
  • What materials do you use?
Acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvases are the primary materials. Demetria sometimes uses mixed media that may include texture medium, foil paper, graphite pencil, fabric, vinyl, glazes and washes. They all have a clear gloss UV protective finish coat or clear resin topcoat.
  • How much do you charge for shipping?
Standard flat rate shipping of $13.99 on all orders. These rates apply to shipping within the United States only and does not apply to expedited shipping. All international orders are at cost.
